Commercial

Commercial cooling that gets read before it gets replaced

Repair, maintenance and installation for business air conditioning, handled by a family-owned shop that measures first and quotes second.

Chapter 01

Where a business system gives out first

A cooling system in a place of business runs longer hours than most home systems, and it does it with people inside who expect to be comfortable the moment they walk in. That schedule is hard on the parts that move and the parts that switch. Capacitors weaken, contactors pit, fan motors drag, and a condensate drain that nobody has cleaned in a year backs up at the worst possible moment. When the system finally stops, it tends to stop on the hottest afternoon, and the person who has to explain it is the manager.

Cool-It treats those calls the way it treats a house call: gauges, a meter and a look at the whole system before any part gets ordered. The shop describes its commercial repair work as being the answer to whatever trouble your air conditioner runs into during the year, with a quick response and a fix explained in terms you can check for yourself. Emergency calls outside office hours come in on the same line, (832) 316-2665, and the office is staffed Monday to Friday from 8 to 5.

A reading first, then a quote

Back in 2019 a Houston customer named Debra Jatzlau wrote about a management company's repair quote of more than $400. Billy, one of the technicians, went out, photographed the unit and walked the building managers through what he saw, which was that nothing was wrong with it. That is the habit the commercial side is built on. Measure amperage and voltage, read the temperature split across the coil, watch refrigerant pressure, and let the numbers decide whether the job is a part, a cleaning or nothing at all.

When the numbers say the unit is finished, the same care carries into the replacement. Cool-It is an American Standard dealer, and the installers fine-tune every detail of the setup so the equipment runs properly over the long term instead of just on the day it is switched on. The company is a licensed Texas air conditioning contractor, TACLB 28315E, and family-owned since 2009.

Chapter 03

Keeping tabs so the breakdown never arrives

Maintenance is where a business saves the most and notices it the least. A scheduled visit cleans the condenser coil and the condensate drain, tightens electrical connections, tests starting capability and checks for refrigerant leaks, which is the short list of things that turn into a dead system in July. Cool-It puts it plainly: let us keep tabs on your system, and you spend less, avoid the catastrophic breakdown and get more years out of the equipment you already own.

Service agreements are available for exactly that reason, to cut down the number of times anyone has to make an urgent call. A system that has been looked at on a schedule fails slowly and visibly, a worn part at a time, instead of all at once on a busy day. If you are not sure what condition yours is in, an honest reading is a fair place to start, and the shop will tell you if the answer is that it needs nothing yet.

Next step

Start with the system you already have.

Repairs, Maintenance and Installations all start with the same visit. Most commercial calls begin with a unit that is running badly, not one that has died. If that is where you are, read how a scheduled visit works on the maintenance page, or send the office a message describing what the system is doing and when.
