Family-owned, and the owner still shows up.

Cool-It is a family-owned heating and cooling contractor, and we have been since 2009. The licence number is on our logo because we want you to be able to check it: TACLB 28315E, a Texas Class B air conditioning contractor licence. We're also an American Standard dealer, which is why so many of our installs end up looking like the pair of condensers further down this page.

The owner is Vixiene. You won't find a long founder speech here, because the better introduction is what customers write. A 2019 reviewer called him “straightforward honest and a man of his word,” and the recent Google reviews keep naming him as the person who actually comes to the house: same-day visits, a part fetched mid-repair, a problem worked through on a Friday evening until it was fixed.

Billy, one of our technicians, turns up by name in reviews from 2018 through 2020. His customers describe the same habit the owner has. Look at the system first, show people what is actually wrong, and leave the rest of it alone.

That last part is the thread through every year of reviews.

Customers have told the same story for seven years: another company listed work, and Cool-It checked and said it wasn't needed. Richard Allen put it plainly in 2019, writing that he found an air and heating company he described as “competent, fair, and honest,” and that “he will not fix it if it is not broken.” Nobody can promise that in an advert. Customers can say it about us afterwards.

The work itself is residential and commercial, heating and cooling: AC and furnace repair, new installations with a free in-home consultation, and tune-ups that follow a written checklist, including amperage, voltage and refrigerant pressure. We serve Houston, TX and the surrounding communities, including Spring and Cypress. The office is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and urgent or emergency repairs go to the same number.
